We accept memberships for Recovery at AR from 17 years and above. Applications for access under 17 is on a case by case basis.

Yes, sessions must be booked either online via our recoveryatarccom.au website or for members, via our ACTIV REPUBLIC community app, available from APP store or GOOGLE play.

Prior to your first visit you will be required to complete and induction/orientation. There will be scheduled sessions as well as the capacity to book and appointment.

Yes, we offer options for teams and groups , please email team@araustralia.au or 

call 0482 075 055 to arrange.

We require appropriate clothing  for decorum and hygiene, remembering it is a shared experience with different ages and genders - please be respectful at all times. Swimmers , shorts , skins , board shorts etc., are all acceptable. 

No g-string, mini bikini, mini togs please. You are required to have a small towel to sit on when using the sauna. We suggest slides/thongs for wearing walking around within the COLD FIRE zone.

Typical gym gear is appropriate. A shirt is required at all times within AR except within the COLD FIRE zone.

.You are required to have a towel and must be wearing enclosed shoes within the training centre, these may be removed whilst using the compression boots ( please leave your socks on - no bare feet ) - shoes must be worn for at all times outside the compression zone.

For safety and hygiene, BARE feet are a no no at AR except in showers or within COLD FIRE zone.

As a member you may not bring an unauthorised guest to AR , whether that be in RECOVERY or the SPORTS TRAINING facility or 24/7 gym

What is an authorised guest?

Someone you have either purchased a guest pass for or you have received specific written permission to attend with you from management. 

We offer guest passes and trial opportunities by prior approval. Get in touch if you wish to bring someone who is not a member.

Our Far INFRARED sauna is set to reach 60 deg C within your session. It is adjustable and the sauna also has a heat vent.

Our COLD PLUNGE is set to target 12 deg C , it will vary between 10 deg C and 16 deg C in use. Recovery science identifies 10-16 deg C as optimal for recovery.

Our HOT PLUNGE is set to target 39 deg C , it will vary between 37 deg C and 39 deg C in use. Recovery science identifies 36-40 deg C as optimal for recovery.

Both pools utilise continuous large capacity filtration and advanced high volume UV and Ozone sanitisation. Our team monitor ph and other critical levels daily.

Yes, whether it's at home before heading to RECOVERY at AR , or in one of our unisex private showers , it is required that users of the COLD FIRE zone shower before entering. 

Yes, we provide a Rinse shower within COLD FIRE zone to rinse off after sauna. This is a COLD shower and we ask you to limit to 10 seconds or thereabouts. Please do not use soaps or additives when rinsing off. This shower is not a substitute for having a full shower before entering COLD FIRE zone. 

Yes, we provide a two UNISEX lockable changerooms within the COLD FIRE zone.  Please do not store your kit in the changerooms - we have spaces for your kit within the zone.

No, however there are two showers and two toilets immediately outside the COLD FIRE zone. Please remember to wear slides/thongs/shoes when outside the COLD FIRE zone. No bare feet in transition please.

No, unfortunately we do not have a waiting area for guests at this time - be selfish - it's your time - please leave them at home.
